WHO WE ARE
Living Faith Boston is a loving, truth-seeking church for all people right in the heart of Boston. We believe that the same God who created the universe wants to have a personal relationship with you, and that he made a way to do so by grace through faith in his only son, the Lord Jesus Christ. We seek to know and honor the Lord in all things and are committed to investing in faithful men and women who desire to abide in Christ, be established in his Word, love one another, and bear much fruit as we worship the Lord together. We believe that everyone at Living Faith Boston can have a part in God's great mission and are called to use their God-given gifts to edify and serve the body of Christ. By God's grace, we are trusting the Lord to be a soul-winning, life-equipping, and sending church that transforms our communities, city, and world with the gospel. We believe God uses his church to do this through discipleship just as Jesus did, life on life, one person at a time.
OUR HISTORY
Living Faith Boston began as God was working in the hearts of Pastor Mike Reneau and his wife, Meredith, in the fall of 2015. Being burdened for the people of Boston – its families, its students, those that have come from all over the world to live, work, and study here – a simple prayer was quietly whispered one night while visiting the city, “Lord, would you have us do something here… in Boston?” The Lord would soon answer that prayer as an unplanned connection made with a pastor at a mission’s conference in Kansas City turned into an invitation to come and see what God was doing in New England. God used that trip to increase Mike’s burden, and over the next 3 years the Lord worked to confirm that he was calling Mike to start a church in the Boston area. In the fall of 2018, Pastor Mike presented his heart before his local church to seek the blessing of its pastors and people. God continued to move and reaffirm his plans, as several others would come to prayerfully obey the Lord’s call to start a church in Boston with Mike and his family.
In 2019, still unsure how God would move but believing he would, Mike and 3 other pastors from Mike’s sending church visited Boston to see what the Lord was doing first-hand. Four hours after arriving, lost in the city, and still carrying their luggage, a “chance” encounter with a local pastor led to the Lord blessing Living Faith Boston with a meeting location inside Ruggles Baptist located at 874 Beacon Street. In July of 2020, Living Faith Boston began its first Bible study and began worship services later that summer.
Living Faith Boston invites others to come join with us in discovering who God is and learning what it means to have a personal relationship with him. We voluntarily partner with the Living Faith Fellowship of churches (lffellowship.com) and are committed to going into the all world preaching the good news that God has made a way to reconcile with mankind, and to making disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Bible.
